This is the second announcement for the “IDPASC Workshop” on the research topics of ”Particles, Space and Earth” to be held at University of Évora, Portugal, in  October 30th and 31st, 2015.

We would like to remind Ph.D. students and researchers to take part in the Évora IDPASC Workshop focusing on Space and Earth Sciences, Particle Physics and Instrumentation. The workshop aims at creating a network among researchers, attract Ph.D. students to these research topics, and encourage the creation of joint projects. This event is especially appropriate for students and researchers wishing to start to work on these topics.

We are very happy to announce the following four keynote speakers:

  • Ÿ Earth Climate and the CLOUD collaboration

Antonio Amorim, University of Lisbon, Portugal

  • Ÿ Geo-neutrinos

Fabio Mantovani, University of Ferrara, Italy

  • Ÿ Meteorology

Giles Harrison, University of Reading, UK

Paulo Garcia, University of Porto, Portugal

We hope this workshop will foster the dialogue between students and researchers of the different disciplines in order to develop efficient collaborations for the future.

The target audience are Ph.D students, last year Master’s students, astrophysicists, particle physicists and Earth’s scientists working on these research topics or who would want to expand their knowledge on these interdisciplinary research fields.

The organisation can provide financial support for a limited number of students. Candidates wishing to apply are invited to pre-register, more information is available in the website of the conference.
